This year sure did fly by and in many ways I am saddened by this. At the beginning of this year I thought " Wow this year can't be better than first year." Well I was wrong. This year was awesome. More people join our dormie group and while some people left the dorm they didn't leave our group of friends. I can only hold my breathe in anticipation as to what new surprises are in store for us next year. It should be equally if not more so awesome.

But, even though I can't wait to come back and finish my degree I am happy for the summer break. A time to relax, recharge and refill the dusty ol' bank account so that I can afford to come back. I am sure that we all welcome this break even though it is not easy to see friends go and possibly not return. But they are our friends and these are special bonds that will be with us forever.

I am excited for this summer and all the stories and tales that will be created through it and retold next year as we are all brought back together. I am excited for the next year. I guess in general I am excited (although it could be all the coffee).

I started packing this evening. And as is my custom over the year I have a rather large stack of papers and assignments that migrated onto the unused bed in my room. I had the arduous task of sorting through those papers and it was interesting to see the layers of the year. The top comprised itself of marked papers and tests and as i dug farther down I came to handouts and sylibi (that aint spelled right, but it's late i dont care) from the beginning of the year. It was funny looking at those due dates and papers and realizing that I had done all that in such a short time (I think I had at least a small tree in Hebrew tests alone).

I will hopefully try to keep this thing updated in a semi regular way but be warned DQ doesn't lend itself to riviting tales of legends.... well every day at least. I wish all those the best who I missed or will miss as I head out Saturday (This goes especially to Amanda who left without my knowledge while I was sleeping... dont worry no hard feelings lol). I pray that all goes well with everyone over the summer and that God is with you during the good and the bad. And hopefully we can make next year even bigger and awesomer then this year. Talk to ya all later (probably on MSN).

---Steve has left the server---

A more serious note

Ok no I haven't given up on blogging just havent had much to say. So as we all know now is that wonderful time of the year when papers start coming due and exams are only around the corner as well. I can hardly believe that another year is closing and pretty soon it will be summer again. And then only 1 more year till I am off to seminary. '

The last couple weeks have been a bit of a eye and soul opener. After talking to people at saturday at the sem I think I am finally starting to figure out what I am going to be doing for the remainder of my life. It seems weird to know pretty much what I will be doing in the coming years, this is the first time I have been truely excited about were I am going and what God is trying to use me for. This time last year I was very unsure of why I had come to Concordia and what I was striving for. But know only a year later I have come to learn what it is I am being called to do. Now dont get me wrong there are still some fuzzy areas (ex. where/who exactly I will be living with during seminary) but mostly at this point the path is clear. I am sure there will be times where this path may fade and I may not quite know where I am going but I have more confidance now that it will be all taken care of.

It seems kind of dumb to me that I am only just now learning these lessons that God will provide and God will show me what I am to do; especially since I have been reciting them over and over again at church but I guess I just wasn't taking enough to heart. It's kind of funny how God works and it is truely a mystery.

I guess mainly I want to let everyone know that if you are lost or confused at this point in your life don't worry. God will reveal to you what you need to know at the right times. Don't worry about where you are going or how you are getting there God knows. I've found that the best way to have these questions answered is to pray. The answers won't come right away, I prayed for a long time to know where I was going and I am only being answered just now and even then not all of everything I've prayed for has been answered.

I guess that now with all the stress of tests and papers I just wanted to remind people to not worry and that everything will turn out the way it should and to pray. And if something like a test doesnt go the way you want it to remember that your way is usually flawed and we need to follow Gods way that he has set out for us. Ya thats all I have right now (sorry no jokes). Talk to ya all later.

---Steve has left the server---

A Glorious New Week

Well I am back from the dead now that reading week is over. Overall ya it was boring but at least I had good company. I hope everyone who read my blog and Erics and Rods enjoyed our little dormie horror story. Only some of those events really happened. There is no new student named Gilbert and whoever has made a blog site by him needs to stop, it's creeping me out. Everyone should be back come tommorrow night or so and then things can get back to normal, well as normal as it gets around here anyway.

As most of you know I have been struggling with an addiction these last couple of years and I am glad to annouce that I am going cold turkey and stopping as of tonight. Thats right folks I offically cancelled my subscription to World of Warcraft. I will not log on and I am not going to look up information about the game. I feel that 2 years is enough time to dedicate to a fictional world and lately I haven't felt "into" the game as much so i decided to stop paying out the ass and just quit. I never thought I would utter those words but here I am. Hopefully the slow madness that will consume me will be fun. I also now have to try to come to grips with this large glowing object they call the sun which I am sure is trying to kill us or at least blind us.

Well, I welcome all those people who are coming back tommorrow as I will be sleeping in one last day and then probably shaking and sweating in the corner as I try to work the WoW out of my system. The creature or whateve it is is poised outside my room. I can here it breathing and gurgling. So far I have managed to keep it at bay. I have bolted the door shut and block it with all manner of furniture from my room. I pray it doesnt get through.

I've tried to sleep but it is as if it can sense me drifting off and it starts screaming and banging against the door making me shoot awake. Shit I think it can tell that I am typing... it has started to bang and rage against the door with renewed energy. I cannot tell how long till it gets through but I can only surmise it wont be long.

........

It's been a few minutes since that last paragraph and as i feared it is intent on getting through the door shudders with each blow and I can see the door starting to give. It is as if i am paralyzed all I can do is sit here and narrate. A large corner of the door has fallen and it slowly starts to seep in as if its a liquid. Oh Shit.... it can't be.... I awoke with blood once again on my hands although i was indoors this time. My memories of last night are foggy and I cant quite remember what I was yelling about. I do remember banging rather loudly and forcfully on Erics door. Then it gave in and I heard him yell. Then I woke up here.

I tried to find Eric to see what had become of him but I think that it is too late. I think the same thing that happened to Gilbert happened to Eric. I hope that Rod doesnt venture out today it may be unwise. As for myself I seem to have grasped a little more of reality I dont seem to be think as irrationally as last night but that doesnt mean it wont happen again. I think for now I will endeavor to barricade myself in my room.

I cant let what ever has taken over me to infect the others. I only pray that I am the only one infected and that Rod hasnt been infected yet.

Wait? What was that noise? Shit there's something outside my door. I can see a shadow poking through the bottom. At least ... I hope its a shadow.

---Steve has left the server---

Reading Week Wednesday??

Ok something has happened. I dont know exactly what but apperently I have lost a day. I dont mean "Oh it slipped away and ive lost it" I mean " crap I am going crazy and lost a day" maybe thats not the best way to put it but i deffinatly dont remember any part of tuesday. Eric says he saw me but I am not sure. God I hate the way he looks at me all smug and sure of himself I would love to put an end to that.... wait what am I saying?

Arg this week has gone from boring to down right insane. Why cant anyone else see what is going on. Gilbert is gone. I dont know where but I think I may have had a hand in it. Wait what? How could I have.... Shit my head is pounding making it harder to concentrate on simple things. If only Eric would stop laughing at me. Oh he doesnt do it out loud.... it's his eyes they dance in his head when ever he looks at me I just wanna stop that damn laughter.....

I saw Rod today for a bit... I know what hes up to. It's him and Eric they are working together .... hes laughing at me too. Eric started this that I am sure of. Without Eric maybe things would settle down maybe Rod would stop laughing.... maybe.... maybe ill do something about it maybe i'll MAKE him stop laughing. Heh that could work.... that would be perfect.... then.... then if Rod doesnt stop... heh....

http://www.muffinsrsweet.blogspot.com/ and http://furiousrodimus.blogspot.com/

---Steve has left the server---

Reading Week Monday

So today started out pretty weird and by pretty weird I mean "OMG the Aliens have landed kind of weird." Ok so this morning I awoke not in my usual place. I awoke to a bright light and the smell of dirt and what ever the hell else grows outside in the winter.

Man my head has really started to pound it feels like something is trying to claw its way out. The waking up outside thing was low on the creepy meter. I also awoke next to several dead animals. I can't reconize what they were but from the looks of what is left they couldnt have been too large. Whats that taste in my mouth? blech!

Apparently the highschool students dont have class to day again which i forgot about. I seem to be doing that alot recently also its weird but I feel like I am losing time. I will be sitting here doing something (playin WoW) and it seems like the hours are just slipping by but i dont remember anything about them. Eric stopped by earlier and we started to talk. All of a sudden hes stareing at me like I have a third eye (did I lose more time?) he didnt stay much longer after that which is good everytime i think about him i get angry then my head starts hurting.

Havent seen Rod.

Gilbert has been poking around the hallway giving me weird looks. Is he getting sickly looking? I dont know but i feel an intense hatred towards him now. Bah i better stay away from him who knows what could happen. Ugh these headachs are killing me I am heading to bed.

Eric and Rod have posted more lies at http://www.muffinsrsweet.blogspot.com/ and www.furiousrodimus.blogspot.com

---Steve has left the server---

Reading Week Day 2

Went to church today. Didnt really feel like going I awoke with a pounding headach and felt kind of sick. I went anyway. It was quiet on the ride there no one spoke more then they had too. Rod seemed distant while Eric seemed a little edgy. Sometimes that bugs me about him, ah well not much i can do about it. Other then that church was fine.

We got a new high school student in dorms last night, which was weird because no one has ever moved in during the middle of the night. Meh must just be my imagination. His name is Gilbert and he seems like a real nice guy. He doesnt talk much just kind of stares at ya. Speaking of stareing I walked into Gilberts room and found Eric stareing into his eyes (Creepy). I tried to talk to Eric I was like "You know man, if theres anything going on in your life thats troubling you or maybe your confused about something you can always talk to me about it" As soon as i said it i regretted it. Something in my mind ticked forward like a clock slowly counting down time.

Anyway I hung out with Gilbert most of the rest of the day. I guess some how I feel real close to him it's kind of creepy. Also theres this nagging feeling in the back of my mind every time I see him and ...and....arg I just cant put my finger on what its trying to tell me.

Havent seen Rod around lately after church hmm he must be sulking or something. He sure is being reclusive. Meh must just be because Tammy's gone.

Well thats about it for me tonight I am getting another headach and it feels like its gunna be a big one think i'll take some Advil and head to bed. I hope tommorrow is more interesting.

---Steve has left the server---

Reading week, So. Boring.

Mmmm smell that air. It smells like reading week. Thats right folks reading week has sprung upon us like the US on a country with oil. I figured "who knows? Staying in dorms this reading week could be fun." Little did i realize the horror that was going to be brought upon us.

It was quiet this morning save for Daniel running down the hall yelling for Darren or Eric or something i don't really pay attention to him. I was doing my afternoon Jazzersizing when Eric comfronted me and started yelling at me about the music being to loud ... or something. Now I dont think Eric will admitted it to anyone or himself but I think he's a little taken with the male side of the human race. But anyway he started yelling something about Poptarts and I was like "Whoa there dude Strawberry is way better then fuckin blueberry." It contintued like that for about a half an hour till he left in a huff. Obviously I had won the fight.

A few of us went out for a free dinner on Darren cause he likes us so much, oh and Eric came with us cause Darren felt sorry for him and we needsome one to hold our coats. I don't really know whats changed in dorm lately but it has created a thick sense of tension. Hopefully we can continue to post through this tough time.

By the way Eric and Rod have also posted and their posts are full of errors go ahead and read them for yourself at http://www.muffinsrsweet.blogspot.com/

and http://furiousrodimus.blogspot.com/

But untill tommorrow I am out.

---Steve has left the server---

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://thestatutesofsteve.blogspot.com/2007/02/reading-week-so-boring.html' title='Reading week, So. I'v been officially tagged and now you are all doomed DOOMED I say. This mean that I have to.... nay I MUST report 6 random things about myself. May God have mercy on the souls of all those that read this.

1. I own and will posses by the end of this week / beggining of next the entire X-Files collection that includes all 9 seasons and the movie which comes between seasons 5 and 6. In fact TV series are in general one of my favorite things to collect and watch because a) there is nothing good ever on tv (there are rare exceptions) and b) No stupid commercials.

2. I have a jar of dried fruit sitting on my dresser. I told my parents i like dried fruit but i dont really and now they are sending me more. So if you like dried fruit stop on by.

3. One of the blinds in my room doesnt go up any more I can only open the slates and some days i get angry at it and try to yank it all the way up and make it stay but it never works.

4. For some crazy reason I have 2 bottles of laundry detergent in my closest and I can never remember which one I used last so I usually alternate which angers me because i want to use one up first so I know just how much detergent I have so that one day when I go to use it I dont find that I have none.

5. Apparently when I type up a blog i have a tendency to make alot of run on sentances and use very little puncuation and I also have a hard time spelling things right and usually I spell a word wrong and dont realize it till i post it but by that time I am too lazy to go back and edit it and so then it looks like I just dont care but that is not true I do care I just dont care enough to click the little button that says edit then find the mistake then think about the correction then fix it then hit republish so in the end there are lots of errors and in some degree it looks like a retarded space monkey typed it up but his tail kept getting in the way so he made lots of errors which is funny because as we all know monkeys are really smart and some are even smarter then some people in this world. (Heh run on sentances are fun)

6. I have a jar were i keep all my laundry money and this semester i put a couple rolls of loonies in it. The loonies are really shining and when i look into it it reminds me of pirate gold.

7. Sometimes I dont feel like following the rules so i post extra stuff even though this is only supposed to be 6 random things. I guess I am kind of rebel in that way. Wooo!

Heh that was fun I hope you guys enjoyed those random nuggets of awsomeness. I hope everyone had a good holiday and that no one had to work too much over the break. Another chapter of our lives has ended and another has just begun. I've been thinking back to the last couple of months and have found that many things have changed. Rod and I having seperate rooms is an example of this. There are so many things that have changed and since there are so many I will not bore you all with each and every one of them. I am certain you can all find examples on your own. After going home I have become aware of many things that have changed. Many of which have not been for the best. People are getting older and it seems like the plans I had a couple of months ago have come untied and are whipping around free in the wind tangling together and making a big ol' mess.

It is at these times that I talk to myself and remind myself of the things that have not changed. I still have the friends that I can hang out with and watch movies with. I still have a family that is more or less still hanging in there and hasn't fallen completely apart. And I still have my books and movies to take solace in. Those are just a few of the blessing that I need to remind myself of.

I find it hard to believe that as I stand right now I have completed half of my 3 year degree which to me seems kind of scary. I hope that this semester continues to change and while all these changes may not seem good at the time I hope that we can look back after and find that they were overall good. Well that's about all from me. Talk to ya all later.

---Steve has left the server---

Christmas is coming the goose is getting fat.

Today started out kind of lame but since I got up it has been getting better. Vince and I trekked out into the wilderness that is know as Edmonton and braved the horrid transit system in search of gifts for friends and family. I got about half of my shopping done. The most important part though is I was able to obtain some Christmas lights and by some I mean 200 of the little suckers. So after supper with the aid of Mike I strung them merrily around my doorway. This is Mike posing with them. They don't look awsome in this picture so you guys have to come by to experience the magic which is "Steve's Door". I have been contemplating that if I end up going with anyone to a mall I might have to pick up a wreath or something.

The countdown till I leave has started. Only 17 days until all my exams are done and 19 days we leave for Dawson. It should be good to go back home and finally eat some real food/laze around for a couple weeks. Don't really have much else to talk about right. Kind of just wanted to show off what I like to call "Steve's Amazing shinning Awsome Christmas door of Awsome coolness" ( I know I used awsome twice thats how much awsomeness it contains) I may edit this blog later tonight incase of hijinks. Just a little background information incase you have forgotten. These pictures are from the weekend where Rod and I went to Vancouver our main reason for going was to see "Blind Guardian" a band from Germany and in short it was awsome. So here are those pics complete with commentary. BTW the commentary for each picture is at the bottom of it. Later we burned and pilliaged an entire villiage. Although we have to remember that it is Pillage, Rape, Burn, not Pilliage, Burn, Rape. That was messy. One of these birds is wanted for trying to attack Rod. If you see it or anything else that matchs the description please call me so I can tell him that it was really funny the way he flew directly at Rod making him yell out a jump to the side exclaiming and I quote "SON OF A BITCH".This is the lead singer for "Leave's Eyes" they were the opening band for "Blind Guardian". The room was not terribly well suited for pictures and I am short and the people in front of me were tall. If you want to see it better i can make it larger on my comp but i felt that blowing the picture up to that size on the blog would probably kill it and ur guys' internet as well.

I have omitted a few pictures but as stated above I didn't want to kill the internet. You are all welcome to come see the few others if you feel like it. All in all it was a awsome trip and I am glad that we were able to go. Also a little shout out to Vince and a Megan and a big congrats on the whole wedding thing. Woot to the both of you.
Talk to all you dudes later.

---Steve has left the server---

Leaving on a jet plane don't know when ill be back again.

The title to this blog is a little misleading. I am leaving on a jet plane but I do know when I am getting back and that day is Wednesday. Just thought I would leave a note telling everyone that Rod and I are packing and leaving bright and early tommorrow morning. Darren has agreed to take us to the airport and Vince may be coming too. I am starting to get more excited now as the time draws close and everything is starting to work out according to plan. I've gone over the same list of items several times: Wallet- check, tickets for airplane hotel and concert- triple check, underwear- check, condoms ( Rod's in for a surprise)- check, bottle of ether - double check.

I am bringing my camera so pictures will be posted when we get back. Till then wish us luck and keep us in your prayers. Ugh. But wait there has to be some sort of "List" we could "check" to see if it really is burn out week. hmmm I know we can make a "horizontal line of things that would need to be completed to conclude that it is indeed burn out week" or a HLTTWNTBCTCTIIIBOW for short. So I will type up some questions to test to see just if burn out week is going to hit you and how to prevent/treat it.

1. Have you or have you not been so over whelmed with school lately that you are finding it hard to organize your sock drawer?

2. Are you more attracted to water fowl then normally?

3. Have you started to do something and forgotten what you were doing and/or were your pants are?

4. Have you put on blue face paint on half of your face, put on a kilt and waged war against the English declaring proudly "FREEEEEDDDDDOOOOOOOMMMMM" from a mountain top?

5. Have you do the same as the above but instead shouted "SPPPPPPOOOOOOOONNNNNN?

6. Have you shaved your head and then thought it was a bad idea so you glued it back on ?

7. Typed up a blog that makes little sense?

8. Typed up a blog that makes so much sense that anyone who reads it has their head explode then the government comes and confiscates the webpage and befor you know it your hanging out in a secret prison under the white house chilin with Elvis , Martin Luther and Jesus who actually came back 4 years ago but since then has been locked in the prison addicted to internet forums and Mountain Dew? Also Luther is emo.

9. Had a religious experience only to find that you left hair care products on the heater and its the fumes making you dizzy and that the image of Mary is only a towel rack?

10. Have you made two religious cracks and offended both catholics and protestants in the same blog post?

11. Decided that sleep is indeed for the weak and try to stay up all night only to find yourself already asleep on the keyboard with a blog page open and nothing but t's and m's typed because wen you fell asleep your face smacked the desk and those two buttons got stuck?

12. Have you or have you ever had sexual relations with that women Mr President?

13. Do you now or have you ever believed that small green aliens frequently visit you in your dreams but instead of imparting knowledge of how to cure cancer or live forever they only trade recipes with you concerning beef and beef related meats? And then woken up with a roasting thermometer in your butt?

14. Realize that damn i can't spell worth crap on this thign.

If you or any of your friends answer yes and or no to any of these questions then it is imperative that you get them to a hospital ASAP. They need to be filled with cotten candy and from my experience cotten cand is often found at hospitals except it's white and doesnt taste like anything but cotten. If you are not anywhere near a hospital then you must tear up the carpet in your room or living area and consume it with mustard. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT IT MUST NOT BE ANY OF THOSE STUPID "HONEY MUSTARDS" OR "SPICY MUSTARDS" IT MUST BE NORMAL MUSTARD. mayo works too.

Now that you have been diagnosed and treated for "Burn Out" week . Your life will be different. Colors will have lost their brightness and sounds seem dull in your ears. Thats probably cause you have sunglasses and ear plugs in. Take them out. Now everything should be ok.

I will now leave you with these parting words. CLOCK , TREE, YELLOW and BECAUSE. feel free to use them as often as you like. Except TREE you can only use that on twice a day.

---Steve has left the server---

He's Hitler with a tail. He's "The Omen" with whiskers. Even Nostradamus didn't see him coming!

So as some of you may know we have a mouse in our room. Atleast that was the story up untill about 7 o clock this evening. Earlier today I saw that the mouse had come back obviously the compressed air to the face didnt phase him for long. So I watched it out of the corner of my eye attempting to pick an opertune time to strick and drive it from the room. During this process I saw him scamper out into the hall and disapear. This was all good because in my mind now that the mouse was out of our room it was no longer my problem. Then later Matty found it in the laundry room. We managed to capture it with out harm and after taking pictures as evidence that we were not crazy took him out to the river valley. Hopefully, for his sake, that is the last we see of him becuase if I see another mouse i am getting a trap.

So this weekend was kind of bleh in my opinion. And if you dont like my opinion then I just have one thing to say to you " Why are you reading my blog?". Once again it seemed to zip by and once again the kitchen staff screwed me over cause their food still tastes like crap. (Again if you dont agree why are you here?). Certain people have become depressed or disappointed and man does it suck to stand by not knowing what to do or say to them.

I have accomplised a great feat though this weeked (not studying alot for hebrew does not qualify) that is I have tranversed the entire Internet and let me tell you there is some messed up stuff on it. Like did you know that there are entire webpages of nekkid people doing things with each other including using food in a manner that God did not intend. Also the amount of Emo/depressed/goth/losers, who post a blog and then tell about how crappy their life is and how they are going to kill/maim/burn/cut themselves is on the increase. So remember have your emo spade or neutered its the least we can do for future generations. Now if you are looking for something crazy or used I suggest you look up E-Bay. Now not too many people know about it and I dont think it will last very long but right now its an awsome place to trade porn/used tissues or clothing / or anything that may have touched a celebraty. Now here is some information to live by DO NOT MAKE A WEBPAGE FOR YOUR PET. You cannot believe how many "Sparkies homekennel" or "Fluffy's international webpage for cuteness" websites there are. People ... pets are not humans (shocking I know) sure they may be your only friends because you cant fit through the door to go outside but seriously WTF. If your pet had a chance they would kill you in your sleep. Also they have no souls so ya wont see' em in heaven or in many cases hell.

Now something I also came across was many sites that seemed to be created by "Crazies" that is people who think tinfoil makes a great jogging excessoring while they are out trying to wire tap in to the mircochips the government placed in their fillings. Now a thought comes to mind "Do you honestly know you are crazy?" or does it seem like everyone else is crazy? If it is the latter then I may be in trouble. When ever I read or hear latter I always think of ladder is this just me? if so crap once again.

I have also found another great use for the internet MSN although when the one dude you talk to goes offline or is just upstairs the uses become quite limited. It does however allow me to write dirty words to someone which is a nice change from speaking them.

The countdown to "Blind Guardian" continues with only 21 days left befor we leave. All I have to say is WEWT. I am excited but a little nervous this will be the first time I plan and execute a trip with out my parents or someone else in charge. I am hopeful that it goes well.

I am finding that these days of the same thing over and over again are becoming quite tiresome. Infact a good Scooby Doo type mystery would be interesting. Like some sort of Concordia ghost could start scaring people and it could turn out to be the gardener and as he's taken away he shouts "I would have gotten away with it to, if it wasnt for those meddlesome kids!" ya that would be cool. Or maybe some sort of invading forces senario with vikings, ninja's and pirates... oh and some sort of crazy wizard named tim. That would be cool and awsome oh wait and rightous it would be... cowastous... or rightawsool... something like that anyway.

Well I think I have rambbled enough for tonight perhaps I will crash... naw its only 10 that would be too early gotta wait till atleast 1.

---Steve has left the server---

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://thestatutesofsteve.blogspot.com/2006/10/hes-hitler-with-tail-hes-omen-with.html' title='He's Hitler with a tail. Everyone is back and school just started again today weeeee. Well that time of year has come again that time when papers start to be due and tests are to be done. Of course during this time a strange sickness claims the students calle Hateus Schoolitis. In laymens terms it means "Oh my god! the work! i want to gouge my eyes out with a fork". Now many of you maybe wondering "Do I have Hateus Schoolitis?". Well there is a simple test that you, yourself can apply to check to see if you are coming down with this hideous, frustrating diesese. Firstly , does slamming your head into a wall, book , door , or person seem like more fun then going to class or studying? Second do you get cold chills , cold sweat or headaches when faced with writing in any form even menus? Do you write fanfics about rising to power or gaining super powers and killing and or maiming the entire faculty and or crappy caffiteria staff? If you or anyone else you know answered yes to any of these questions then you more then likely will die.
But do not worry there IS a cure. Immediatly admisnister 1 nap followed by some sort of caffiene laced substance (coffee and chocolate are two common things). Next put away all text books and read a real book for fun none of that extra credit get ahead of the course shit. Second DO NOT under any circumstances start on or look at rough copies, outlines or summaries of any of you papers. This point is extremly important, if you do happen to glance or heaven forbid scan on of these texts don't panic immediatly take another nap followed by atleast two more douse of your prefered caffiene. If the stress and or symptoms increase or do not lessen i recommend that you take a bath in peanut butter (smooth peanut butter is ok but Chunky is the prefered treatment).

By now some of you maybe wondering "Wait, is he a real, doctor" and I am here to say that while i technecly dont have a PHD or anything like that the reason is that i care too much about you people to make you wait 7 long years for me to go through proper channels to obtain what I was born to do and that is heal. More of you may be wondering "Wait I thought doctors were supposed to wear pants?" this is a common misconception. You see a doctor of rare dieseses such as Hateus Schoolitis gets his knowledge directly from the extra brains stored in his or hers thigh and knee bones. You see when pants are put on the telepathic link between these brains is reduced and makes reaction times slower so as such we are required to remove our pants to help you the people feel better and get well. (and the breeze is nice)

Also by now some of you may be wondering where I come up with this stuff and I am here to tell you that it is a gift.... or wait was it a diesese (skitzafrenia? , the deep down crazy's?) no its deffinatly not a dieses its a gift (from Santa I think maybe the Easter bunny). Anywho I should end this cause frankly its starting to scare even me but really what are you going to do eh? So in conclusion School sucks and life after school isnt much better (what? you wanted something positive? go watch sesame street ya freaks)

---Steve has left the server---

Stress is nothing more than a socially acceptable form of mental illness

Ok time to update this beast.

So school is going... well... interesting. Classes are of course in full swing now and OMG is it different then from last year. Homework, something I almost never attempted last year, has consumed the vast majority of my non class time and sleep has occupied the few remaining hours. Dorms are considerably quieter as I am living on the high school floor. Little adive to anyone considering an English major, Do Not take three English classes and pile a dead language know as hebrew on top of it. I do enjoy the classes it's just the amazing amount of reading that is expected in 1 day ( ex 100 pages of Moll Flanders). Mind you weekly Hebrew tests dont help the study load. But all that aside this year is turning out the be pretty good. This Sunday we will be getting the group together for a little D and or D so that should be fun ( New campaign = new interesting ways for the players to die).

Let us see... new addictions this last couple months includes buying and watching all the X-File seasons (6 out of 9 completed).

Exciting new this week and possibly the next couple months is I am going to Vancouver. November 13-15 Rod and I will be flying to Vancouver to take in the "Blind Guardian" concert. I am pretty stoked to go and with concert tickets and plane tickets purchased it is still seeming a little sureal. Lots of mercendise will be obtained.

From the title you have probably surmised that I am feeling a "little" stress lately so as a result I have been a little grumpy. So I am hoping that the reading load lightens a bit but I am not holding my breath. So if I seem a little reclusive or grumpy I blame school not you dudes.

Well thats about it from this realm of reality so I will stop typing now.

---Steve has left the server---

Sometimes the only sane answer to an insane world is insanity.

Well just a quick note today to let you all know I am alive before I go to work. I have exactly seven shifts left ( all 8 hours) so i only have 56 hours of work left until I am done for the summer. Other then work lately I haven't been up to much (I lead a pretty boring life) . I have however just finished the Dark Tower series by Stephen King and I have to say I hate that man with every breath of my being. Don't get me wrong I love the books and I love the story but the last book ARG. That is probably the closest I have ever come to openly weeping at a book. I recommend the series fully but be prepared for a mind fuck at the end. I can't wait for school, as weird as that sounds, although the reason is less the school work and more the people. Well I have to head off here pretty quick so I'll talk to ya all later. If you're lucky I may update a second time this month lol.

---Steve has left the server---

Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

Hey all. Ok so it has been pretty much 1 month since I last updated this sucker. A couple things have happened but nothing monumental. My parents decided they wanted a dog so a couple weeks ago we got a new puppy. Her name is Daisy and she is about 3 or 4 months old so she is still a puppy and is chewing pretty much everything in sight including toes and socks. I have been told she is very cute and if I can get some pics of her ill try and post them up here. Incase your wondering she is a corgi crossed with a golden retriever and she is very light blonde almost to the point of white. She has been a handful but its kind of nice having a dog around again (minus the peeing on everything lol).

I've seen a couple of new movies as of late. We went and saw X-Men 3 which I thought was real good, I liked it. The others in my family thought it sucked but really what can you expect from a super hero movie? It was good with awsome effects and cool characters which is what I went for not award winning plot hooks and twists. I also went without my family and saw the new Superman movie. Words cannot describe the awsomeness that is this movie. It was so cool. All the actors did awsome jobs and the little bits that they put in to make reference to the other movies and comics was great and tastfully done. Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor = GOD, best luthor portrayal every. And even the new guy Brandon Routh was awsome. I also loved the fact that they brought Marlon Brando back from the grave using computer tech and previous footage from the other films. I could write pages about this but i will sum it up with. It was awsome go see it right now, dont finish reading this just go and quickly. Tommorrow I will be going to see Pirates of the Carribbean 2 which i am excited for because it should be awsome. We shall see. The other movie i want to see this month is the new M. Night Shyamalan movie "Lady in the water" should be good i love all his films.

One word about work "Sucks" that is all. Summer is getting close to finished only something like a month and a half and we'll be back at it. (oh god i hope i have enough money). Well can't think of anything else thats happened really so i should be off to bed.

Oh and that comment board thing, nice real classy you guys lol. I have been watching the last couple days to see how many you were trying to get heh. Be my guest and fill the damn thing lol i may even contribute. But now i am off talk to you dudes later (hopefully something exciting will happen).

---Steve has left the server---

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://thestatutesofsteve.blogspot.com/2006/07/hello-my-name-is-inigo-montoya-you.html' title='Hello. Secondly 16 pts to the person who knows that answer to the question. So if you know them both that's a total of lets see 10+16 carry the 4 minus the 9 ummm... 25 and 1/3rd points after taxes.

Well life at this end of the Universe has been mighty quiet as of late. The trip to Disneyland was fun and exciting lots of stuff was bought and much food was eaten. I got the best Souvenir and the biggest and the reddest oh ya and the most painful. Damn sun with its burning rays of death. Anyway first day we went to a baseball game it was cool the weather however was not i walked away with a massive sun burn. It persisted the rest of the trip but that aside everything rocked.

As soon as we got back the life of a DQ worker begain. I work some what odd shifts usually they are monday through friday 2pm - 10pm although there are some 10am-6pm shifts thrown in there as well. The work is easy but tiresome and some times boring. Also many headaches can result as customers often do not state exactly what they want or like to make up stuff like "Last time there was a hair in their burger so this time it should be free" type of thing so ya.

Family = ok for 2-3 weeks but after that it's like I'm 14 again. Although it's odd at the begining of the summer it felt like nothing had changed everything seemed to have stopped just at the point I left. But after living here for a bit you slowly start to see past the outer layers of life and start to see a more liquid center where everything is different and change is happening constantly. I'll give some examples. My one brother who, I thought hadn't changed at all , shocked me the other day. I asked him if he wanted to play a game and what do you know he can't he has plans to go out with someone from work for coffee. This shocked me. I mean I figured it would happen but I wasn't expecting it at all it was for the lack of a better term "weird".

I guess though that is life. Life is changing for all of us and I guess for the first time ever I saw some of these changes and while I wasn't against these particular changes I suppose more will come and there will be those that are less pleasent and more undesirable. I guess the only thing we can do is to wait and watch for them and hope that they make us better people.

It's weird going off to school outside of your home town you create a life seperate from the one with your family atleast at first. And as I sit here I feel split, half in Edmonton and half here. I miss people from school and I know when I go back to school , even though I don't admit it and sometimes outright deny it, there are people here that I will miss.

I will try to write more often but I am having difficulties making the assembly of a burger sound interesting so musing and ramblings will have to hold you guys over for now. I want you all to know that I pray for you each night and you are all in my thoughts through the day.

Talk to you all later.

---Steve has left the server---

The Time has come the Walrus Said to Speak of Many Things...

Well it's less then a week into the summer vacation and all I have to say is I can't wait for school. Maybe it was the 3 hours of sleep I got maybe it's the constant nagging or fighting that took place between Dave and Al but yesterday sucked the big one and frankly today hasn't been a walk in the park either. You must be thinking "oh he's probably over reacting" but rest assured I am not over reacting take for example the fight that took place at the dinner table last night. Dave put some napkins on the table beside the napkin holder and Al goes bat shit insane on him and before long their both yelling about these napkins. You heard me right folks "napkins" paper fucking napkins. Now I "love" my family as much as the next person but really now I know why Lizzie Borden killed her family. So the calender is marked and only 125 or so days till school starts again.

Speaking of crazy killers I watched a really creepy/awsome movie. It's called "Misery" rent it, it rocks but be warned it is based off a Stephen King novel so it's kind of crazy but in a good way. Also if you haven't you should watch the entire "Nightmare on Elms Street" movies they start out kind of creepy and good but they quickly decend into crazy/lame comedies. Vince and I also rented Tristen and Isolde and once again it was a good watch and Vince even liked it. I was kind of shocked cause my tastes in movies is often very different to his tastes. Those of you who haven't seen it go and rent/buy it right now. I believe much movie watching will be happening this summer so be prepared for lots of movie reviews/warnings.

Well this will be my last post pre-Disney land so next you hear from me I will be back and working at the old DQ. I am hopeful that a routine will help to distract me from the home life and if worse comes to worse theres always drugs and alcohol. Ah the sweet imbrace of killing millions of brains cells and pissing on myself but enough about my nightly routines. I have come to the conclusion that I should not have told anyone that I was going to go into the ministry it has complicated my life in too many ways. Everyone seems overly critical about what it is I want to do and what it is I don't want to do. Apparently the only way to be a minister is to sit in my room reading the Bible (in greek mind you) and have nothing to do with the secular world around me. This bothers me on so many levels. ApparentlyI should be oppossed to "loud secular music", violent video games and oh and God forbid . . . fantasy or Stephen King novels. A pox on all of them nigh a pox is too good for them ... a curse of the highest levels is the only thing suitable for them. The curse should preferably be something with Mummies or Werewolves although blindness and deafness arn't out of the question.

Wow this is getting kind of rantish. Too many thoughts inside my brain; I find this blog a suitable outlet for them and people can read them . . . wait that may be a bad thing. Hmm I think a blog can be used for grounds for commitment. There is only one solution . . . I must burn down the internet sure many perverts may lose access to their vast porn collection but sacrifices must be made (as long as they don't directly involve me).

Well it's getting late so I think I will go shut my brain off before it over heats. I'll talk to ya'll later when I get back. Oh and forgive the above rant it was done on a fevered mind but atleast it ain't boring. The trip wasn't all that exciting but thank god he got that ipod keeping him awake would have been harder otherwise. I don't know what is up with all the bumble bees we hit it was crazy. It looked like we had driven through a hive. Although yellow bug guts on a white truck do look kind of nice. Aside from the bugs the only other animal we saw was a deer but it was just lying there on the side of the road sleeping. I don't know why it would sleep there it seems dangerous. We made good time and made it to Dawson by about 3 pm so we had lots of time to unpack our things and such.

I lucked out and got one of my birthday presents early so I could use it on our upcoming trip to Disney land. My family went together and got me a sweet ipod nano with 4g's of music storing goodness. So all last night and this morning ive been loading music onto it and listening to it. I've only got about 1g loaded on it and thats over 14 hours of music or so. I also got another surprise some of the people who had quit the DQ last year came back so I get to work with awsome people this summer so I thought that was kewl.

As of today I am not tired of my family although after the trip I give them 1-2 weeks before I start not wanting to see them. Although I am still excited for next year to start cause next year will R0XX0r (pronounced Rockzors).

Well thats about it from me for right now. I'll try to update more but if nothing happens nothing gets written. In case you're wondering the main reason I am writing this is half bordom half ... um ... hmm ... well ... there's... nope there's no other reason, it's pretty much 100% boredom. I am pretty sure that this will only hold my interest for about a month so bear with me. Although who knows?

I feel sorry for everyone who went away this weekend cause it was packed with Sex, drugs and rock and roll. Lots of rocking and rollin if you know what I mean . Oh in case you didn't know it was only Rod and myself all weekend. Although that last round of it was kind of hard on the back (hammocks are not safe). But really it was kind of boring so it will be cool to see everyone one last time before exams finish up and we go home again. I curse the man who thought up the idea of testing students on content that was taught in classes. It's almost like he thought we should actually know the subjects instead of just giving us diplomas. Bah I say Bah.

I think that we should change the way we demonstrate our knowledge of a subject and do it through interpretive dance. That would be a lot less stressful then reading and memorizing a book. If worse comes to worse you can make something up on the spot what are the teachers going to say? They wouldn't want to look like they can't understand what you're trying to say. Or even better cooking. In english you would cook something like bangers and mash, greek make a greek salad, psycology could be ... um ... something in the shape of a phallus.

Ah but after this week of exams, that I am almost sure comes from the deepest level of hell and the minds of those contained there, comes the glorious 4 months of summer. Ah those 4 months will be swell full of relaxation, free (good) food, and working for money to subject ourselves to this crazy time we call schooling. Oh and who can forget the experience of moving back in with your family that should be awsome. Well we shall see what awsomness that this summer contains.

Well thats all for this installment but hopefully there will be more rambling thoughts from my mind because if there arn't well then that means I am dead.
